Time Keeping

It is very important that all pupils are in school on time every day. School starts at 9am and those children who are late unfortunately disrupt the whole class at the start of the lesson. Please can you ensure that your child is in school on time every day.

World Book Day and Comic Relief

We are celebrating World Book Day and Comic Relief together on Friday 13th March.

The children can dress up as a character from their favourite book or they can wear red to celebrate Comic Relief.

Any donations would be kindly appreciated.

Estyn Inspection

Dear Parents/ Carers

I wish to inform you that Estyn, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales will visit our school during the period Monday 23rd March to Thursday 26th March 2015.

Estyn have supplied an information leaflet for each family in our school. Within the leaflet there is a parent questionnaire. Please could all parents complete a questionnaire and return it to school by next Wednesday, March 4th 2015. There are spare questionnaires in the school office. Alternatively the questionnaire may be completed online at . You will need to select ‘Maesycoed Primary School’ from the list.

Also as part of the process, the Governing Body extends an invitation to all parents to attend a meeting in school from 3.45pm – 4.45pm on Monday 23rd March 2015.

If there are any further questions parents may have, please contact the school. We will be happy to help.

Yours sincerely

Mrs E.H. Jarrold

Lost Property

Please can you ensure that your child's name is written on their uniform especially cardigans and jumpers.  We have a large quantity of clothing that do not have names on them.  They will be shown to the children over the next few days and hopefully they will recognise their clothing. The Lost Property will be available from the middle block, please see Mrs Davies (Year 2) or Mrs Pugh (Year 2/1) for any help you may need retrieving the items.

Battery Recycling Competition

It's the last week of the battery collection competition that is run by Amgen Cymru.  We have done very well with the collection so please if you have any batteries hanging around for disposal send them into school for recycling.
