Solar Eclipse

We took the children out into the yard to experience the solar eclipse. We used colanders on  large pieces of white card to see the sun changing shape.  We noticed that although it didn't go dark it did go very cold and we could see our breath in the air.  We liked the pictures the colanders made on the card and it was fun to see the shape change.  When the sun came back out again we went inside and watched the total eclipse taking place on the whiteboard. It was wonderful to see it happening live!

Dear Parents/ Carers

As many of you are aware Miss Jenkins has not been in school for the last two weeks due to ill health. Unfortunately she has confirmed today that she will not be returning to school this term.
Miss Jenkins was expected to leave at the end of this school term as Mrs Ward was returning from her secondment after Easter. As a consequence Mrs Ward has returned earlier than was originally planned.

Mrs Pocock has returned to full time following her extended maternity leave. The job share she has held with Mrs Sheppeard will continue until the end of this term. On our return after Easter Mrs Pocock will resume her duties as a full time class teacher. It is anticipated that Mrs Sheppeard will cover PPA for the summer Term as Mrs N Jones is leaving us.

We all wish Miss Jenkins and Mrs Jones good luck for the future and we would like to thank them both for all the hard work they have undertaken during their time at our school.

We all return after Easter on Monday 13th April.

Yours sincerely

Mrs E.H. Jarrold

At this moment in time we have collected £140 and we haven't finished counting yet. If you still wish to donate please send your money into the office. Thank you again for your support.

Gardening Club

Our Gardening Club wanted to get there hands dirty this term as we have spent so much time inside because of the rain. So Mrs Davies and Mrs Evans went shopping to B&Q to buy some colourful flowers, strawberries and pleasant smelling herbs. The staff at B&Q were very helpful and gave us a lovely discount on the flowers. We would like to thank them for their generosity and for the help that Laurens gave us both. As you can see from the photos the Gardening Club got well and truly stuck in!
