Barry Island

What a fantastic day we all had in Barry Island. The sun finally came out, the tide was in and the children were having lots of fun!

Below are some photos that were taken, there are plenty more to be added in the next few weeks.

W H Smith Vouchers

A huge thank you to WH Smiths in Pontypridd who gave the school book vouchers to spend on new library books. A particular thank you to the manager Karen Watkins and to Gina Worley, Zak Blacker's grandmother who put the school's name forward to receive the gift.
The children went down on Wednesday to collect the vouchers and returned on Friday to spend them.

Children from each block chose the new books for each area and were absolutely thrilled with the books they chose. The whole school has benefited from their generosity and once again the children have been able to make decisions about what they would like to have.
On behalf of all at Maes y coed Primary School we would like to offer a huge thank you.

Friday is Toy Day for the Children in Years 2 to 6. Please do not bring any electronic games or small toys e.g. lego.

Dogs on school premises

Following the most recent Governing Body meeting we would like to remind you that as a safety precaution no dogs are allowed on to school premises.
No dogs, whether on a lead or being carried are to be brought into the school yard.

We hope you will abide by this as the welfare of the children is our prime consideration.

Barry Island Trip Thursday

The weather forcast for tomorrow is that it will be very hot and humid.  Please can you ensure that your child has a sun hat, suncream and clothing that will cover their shoulders to minimise the risk of burning after going in the water.
