Battery Recycling Competition

AMGEN are running their battery competition again this year where £500 is given to the school with the most batteries collected per pupil ratio.  We collect and recycle household batteries of all types including mobile phone batteries all year.  The box is situated in the middle block hall.

Christmas Card Recycling Challenge

It’s that time of year again, where we write and receive lovely Christmas cards – But what happens when the festivities are over?

Lots of these cards will often end up in our landfill sites – This year Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is calling on all our schools to take up the Christmas Card Challenge and have a greener New Year by recycling all their unwanted, unused Christmas Cards.

The Council is encouraging all schools to get involved - the challenge is easy, simply collect as many Christmas Cards as possible and the school with the highest card to pupil ratio wins the competition.

Prizes on offer -

First Prize                 £300
Second Prize            £100
Third Prize                 £50

There will be a collection box in the middle block, please send the cards in with your child as soon as possible as RCT will be collect them on the 30th January.
